Salah D. Hassan – Academic Director (hassans3@msu.edu). Director of Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities, Associate Professor in the Department of English, and a founding core faculty member of the Muslim Studies Program. He has over 30 years of experience in international programming and has worked with community organizations and universities in Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Mali, Mexico, and Ireland.

Damaris Choti – Academic Program Coordinator (chotid@msu.edu) Coordinator of Student and Alumni Programs for the African Studies Center. Damaris has extensive experience in designing and implementing leadership and mentorship programs. She is a cofounder of the African Female Students Empowerment Program.

Anjam Chaudhary – Coaching and Networking Coordinator (chaud110@msu.edu) Dr. Anjam Chaudhary is committed to advancing intercultural communication. She currently organizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice programming for the College of International Studies and Programs at MSU. She is coordinating the Mandela Washington Fellowship focus projects coaching and ignite talk activities. 

Melissa Staub– Leadership Manager (staubmel@msu.edu) Project Manager in the Office of the Dean, College of Arts and Letters. Melissa is a certified Gallup StrengthsFinder Coach since 2020 working with individuals and teams to build awareness of how leveraging strengths leads to growth and success. She is responsible for the Common Leadership Curriculum (CLC) training. 

Derek Tobias – Co-Administrative Director (tobiasde@msu.edu) Program Manager in the Alliance for African Partnership. Derek has over 10 years of experience managing projects at the nexus of higher education and community development. He is responsible for interfacing with the Fellows to ensure they are supported throughout the program.

Amy Jamison – Co-Administrative Director (jamisona@msu.edu) Co-Director of the Alliance for African Partnership. Amy has expertise in education as well as experience implementing U.S. Department of State exchange programs and facilitating outreach and research programs with African partners. She is responsible for overseeing the administrative, logistical, and reporting. 

José Jackson-Malete – Co-Administrative Director (jacks184@msu.edu) Co-Director of the Alliance for African Partnership. Jose has extensive experience in the design and implementation of exchange programs to MSU and Africa. She is also responsible for overseeing the administrative, logistical, and reporting aspects of the program. 

Michelle Danaj – Administrative Program Coordinator (danajmi@msu.edu) Office Operations for the Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities Program. Michelle is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the MSU academic and administrative teams.

Prince Solace – Community Service Coordinator (solace@lansingfirstpres.org) Responsible for coordinating community service partnerships. Prince serves as Director of Congregational Life and Community Outreach at Lansing First Presbyterian Church. He is also president of the Justice League of Greater Lansing. The Justice League exists to repair the historical damage of slavery.

Rofiat Bello – Academic Program Assistant (bellorof@msu.edu) Responsible for coordinating site visits and supporting program activities. Rofiat is a PhD student in the Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures Department at Michigan State University. 

Senora Blanco – Academic Program Assistant (blancose@msu.edu). Responsible for coordinating networking activity and supporting program activities. Senora is an M.A. student in the English department at Michigan State University. 

Emmanuel Chima – Academic Program Assistant (chimaemm@msu.edu). Responsible for coordinating cultural activities and supporting program activities. He is a PhD student in Social Work and has recently completed the Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities Certificate.
